East Fallowfield Township currently has the the following open volunteer positions:
Zoning Hearing Board Member: The Zoning Hearing Board consists of three members appointed by the Supervisors for three-year overlapping terms. The board’s decisions are not subject to the Supervisors’ authority. The Zoning Hearing Board deals with appeals when citizens allege that the Zoning Officer has followed the wrong procedures or misinterpreted the Zoning Ordinance. The board also hold hearings and makes decisions on appeals for special exceptions as defined in the Ordinance or for variances where special physical situations exist which cause undue hardship. Zoning Board meetings are open to the public and board decisions may be appealed to the Chester County Court of Common Pleas.
Planning Commission Alternate Members: The Planning Commission is an appointed government board charged with recommending to the Board of Supervisors the boundaries of the various original zoning district and appropriate regulations to be enforced therein and any proposed amendments thereto and shall collect data and keep itself informed as to the best practices generally in effect in the matter township planning and zoning to the end that it may be qualified to act on measures affecting the present and future movement of traffic, the segregation of residential and business districts and the convenience and safety of persons and property in any way dependent on township planning and zoning.
Park & Recreation Committee: The Park & Recreation Commission is an appointed government board of seven members charged with recommending to the board of Supervisors new recreation and park programs for the community, formulate policies for acquisition and development of the park; defining new objectives of public recreation services and make plans that harmonizes with those objectives. Duties also include keeping public officials informed of the status and progress of recreation services and working with the office and Road Crew on projects as they develop.
Elected Auditor: The elected auditors conduct the annual audit of township finances. However, the Board of Supervisors appoint an independent certified public accountant to perform the annual audit in place of the elected auditors. The elected auditors set the compensation, including paid time off, of any township supervisors that are employed by the township.

Bulk trash is collected on the first Friday of each month. You may put out 2 bulk items for collection by Allied Waste. We highly recommend you call Allied Waste at 610-869-2222 to let them know you will be putting out items for bulk trash day. If you have a "scrapable" item made of metal, please call the Township at 610-384-7144 to have the Township Public Works department pick it up. If you have a TV for pickup, you must call the Township to schedule pickup, and pay a $35 disposal fee for a TV 51 inches and under and $45 for a TV over 51 inches. Allied Waste will not pick up TV's.
Please place your trash cans and recycling cans out the night before your collection day. The trucks come early in the morning. The trucks will not stop and wait while residents who do not have their cans out in time go get them.
Filing for permit applications:
You must have the contractor's liability, worker's compensation insurance, and a copy of the Pa. registration submitted with your permit application. If you do not have worker's compensation insurance, a waiver form must be completed and notarized. The waiver must be submitted with the application.
All complaints must be in writing or emailed and have the full address of the location that you are referring to.

At the Board of Supervisors meeting on February 23, 2016, the Board voted 3-1 to appoint Wilson Lambert as the newest member of the East Fallowfield Township Board of Supervisors. Congratulations Wilson and thank you for volunteering to serve our community!
The bridge on Frog Hollow Road is under construction. The side panels and much of the wood is being taken down and refinished.
East Fallowfield Township on 12/30/15 passed their budget with the implementation of a 1.25 MIL Real Estate Tax.
Chester County Treasurer will be generating our bills and collecting our tax for the Township.
Bills will be going out around 2/1/2016. They will look just like the county bills (yellow) that are being mailed today. The East Fallowfield Township bills will be GREEN.
If you do not receive a bill from the county, it could be because you are one of the 1492 properties that the bill goes directly to the mortgage company for direct payment by escrow accounts. If you do not receive a county bill in the mail, you will not receive a township bill in the mail.
