The Chester County Solid Waste Authority is sponsoring a FREE SHREDDING EVENT on March 24, 2012, starting at 7:30 AM and ending at 11:30 AM (or when the truck gets filled, whichever comes first). Event will be held at the Chesco Solid Waste Authority Lanchester Landfill, on Route 322 just 2 miles past the intersection of Rts. 10 and 322 in Honey Brook.

The Fallowfield Historical Society will hold its February meeting on Monday, the 27th, at 7:30 p.m. The Society meets at Peoples' Hall in the village of Ercildoun, East Fallowfield Township. The guest speaker will be Darin Groff from the National Land Trust. Light refreshments will be served after the meeting. More information can be obtained by contacting Society President Rusty Young at 610-857-1824.

The Doe Run Church Road Bridge will be closed for repairs from February 27, 2012 through June 27, 2012. Detour as follows: Strasburg Road (west) to left turn on Buck Run Road and left turn on Doe Run Road.

Reminders

Cardboard is recyclable and should be put out with your recycling, not with trash. Due to the limitations of the recycling trucks, it must be no larger than 2 feet by 2 feet. Bundles must be no larger than 12 inches. Please do not tape it together. It should be tied or placed into a paper bag.

Filing for permit applications: You must have the contractor's liability, worker's compensation insurance, and a copy of the Pa. registration submitted with your permit application. If you do not have worker's compensation insurance, a waiver form must be completed and notarized. The waiver must be submitted with the application.

If you would like to be on the BOS agenda under Citizen's by Request you must inform the Township Office the Thursday before the meeting.

Every 2nd Monday of the month the Public Works department will do road side chipping for 15 minutes free. You must place your brush in the Twp right-of-way and off of your property and call the Township to make an appointment.
Also - on the 2nd Saturday of each month the compost will be open from 8am - 2pm for residents of East Fallowfield only to dispose of branches and brush.
