Did you know that old electronics can be recycled at the Township Building?

Have you recently replaced a TV, computer monitor or other e-waste? Don’t dump the old items at the curb. Trash haulers do not collect them!

Pennsylvania’s Covered Device Recycling Act forbids haulers from accepting electronic materials as trash, and requires them to be recycled instead.

Township residents can drop off electronic items (e-waste) at the FREE recycling drop off point at the Township’s Municipal Building at 2264 Strasburg Road.  The drop-off site is open on weekdays from 8:00AM until 4:00PM. No appointment necessary. 

 

What can be recycled?

Permitted	Not Permitted
TVs	Major appliances (air conditioners, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, washers etc.)
Computer monitors	Mercury containing devices (thermostats, fluorescent light tubes etc.)
Laptops	Loose batteries
Desktop computers	E-bike and electric vehicle batteries
Printers

 

Anyone dropping off electronics MUST first stop at the Township office and provide a valid ID or a copy of a utility bill to show that they are a resident of East Fallowfield Township.

Electronics may NOT be left outside the Municipal Building or at the collection site when the facility is closed.
