BULK TRASH DROP OFF EVENT - October 17, 2026 9:00AM - 3:00PM.
East Fallowfield residents, come DUMP YOUR JUNK DAY! Stop by the township complex at 2264 Strasburg Road on Saturday, October 17, between 9:00AM and 3:00PM, for free bulk trash disposal!
We will be accepting televisions, electronics, furniture, bulk household items, and household appliances. Please note that there will be a charge for tires. Passenger tires $5 each, tires with rims $8 each, and truck tires $10 each. Also refrigerators and appliances must have refrigerant (Freon) professionally removed and tagged before drop-off. Mattresses and box springs are allowed, but they must be wrapped in plastic before they are dropped off. Items NOT accepted include construction debris, paint, and household hazardous waste. This event is for East Fallowfield Township residents only. Please bring proof of residency.

🚧 Saw Mill Road Paving Update 🚧
 
The Saw Mill Road Culvert Replacement Project is now complete, and the Township is moving forward with the final roadway improvements.
The contractor will be onsite tomorrow (Friday, September 11) to mill Saw Mill Road from Mortonville Road to Martingale Circle in preparation for paving. Milling is expected to be completed tomorrow, with paving anticipated to take place Monday or Tuesday (September 14-15), weather permitting.
 
🚗 One Lane Will Remain Open
 
One lane of Saw Mill Road will remain open to traffic at all times. Motorists should use caution when traveling through the work area and should expect traffic control measures and possible delays.
 
The Township appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents and motorists as we complete the final phase of this important infrastructure project.

Saw Mill Road Culvert Replacement Project Update 
 
Construction on the Saw Mill Road Culvert Replacement Project is scheduled to begin Monday, August 24, 2026. The project will replace the existing culvert and includes improvements to the roadway and drainage infrastructure, as well as resurfacing Saw Mill Road from Mortonville Road to Martingale Circle.
 
One Lane of Saw Mill Road Will Remain Open
 
During construction, one lane of Saw Mill Road will remain open to traffic. Drivers should expect traffic control measures and possible delays while work is underway and are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the construction area.
 
Temporary Power Interruptions
 
As part of the construction, limited temporary power interruptions  may be necessary for some properties immediately adjacent to the construction area. PECO has already relocated the main utility line as part of the project, and the contractor expects any temporary power interruptions to be limited primarily to residences immediately adjacent to the construction site.
Residents whose properties will be affected by a planned power interruption will be contacted directly by the contractor in advance of the outage. The contractor has been in direct contact with affected residents and will continue communicating with them regarding the timing and duration of any planned outages.
 
For the limited number of properties affected by the utility work, the contractor is currently anticipating that the necessary power shutdowns will occur on August 25 and August 27, subject to final confirmation. These planned outages will not affect all residents in the area. If you are not contacted directly by the contractor, you should not expect your power to be interrupted as part of this work.
The Township's engineer, Pennoni, will be onsite during construction and will continue coordinating with the contractor throughout the project.
The Township understands that construction and temporary utility interruptions can be inconvenient and appreciates residents' patience as this important infrastructure project moves forward. Additional information will be provided as the construction schedule is finalized

 

⚠️ Township Pond Update – No Fishing Until Further Notice ⚠️
 
East Fallowfield Township has been working with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) regarding recent reports of a surface sheen, odors, and dead fish at the Township pond.
 
DEP conducted an on-site investigation this morning and found no evidence of contamination or pollution. According to DEP, the fish kill was most likely caused by very low dissolved oxygen levels resulting from last week's prolonged period of extreme heat. The surface sheen observed on the pond was determined to be biological in nature, not petroleum-based.
To help protect the health of the pond while it recovers, the Township has posted "No Fishing" signs around the pond. Please refrain from fishing until further notice.
The Township is actively evaluating options to improve the long-term health of the pond and is working with the Township Engineer to evaluate potential solutions.
We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation and will provide additional updates as they become available.

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS STATEMENT ON ICE ENFORCEMENT:

 

With increased public concern over the federal government’s immigration policies and the enforcement of immigration laws by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the East Fallowfield Township Board of Supervisors and the East Fallowfield Township Police Department want our residents to understand the role of the Township and our police department in immigration enforcement.

 

The East Fallowfield Township Police Department does not enforce federal immigration laws. Immigration enforcement and policies are the responsibility of the federal government, not our local police. Our officers and Township employees will not inquire about immigration status during police interactions or when residents seek other Township services. The Township does not participate in ICE’s 287(g) program, which allows local law enforcement to enforce federal immigration laws.

 

The East Fallowfield Township Police Department enforces state criminal laws, traffic laws, and local ordinances to protect the health, safety, and welfare of our residents and the public. Our Township police investigate crimes and work hard to protect victims and witnesses, regardless of their immigration status. The Township does not share any information related to witnesses or victims of crime with federal immigration officials. 

 

Our police department does not actively participate in federal immigration enforcement operations. The Department will take only the steps necessary to maintain order and prevent breaches of the peace or other violations of state criminal law, to ensure public safety. To date, the Township is aware of only one instance in which ICE conducted immigration enforcement within the Township, and our police department was informed of the activity after it had concluded, with no involvement by our police department. 

 

It is important for all residents and visitors to understand the practices and policies we follow, as we are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone in our community, regardless of immigration status.
